Tween Art Club: "Papier-Mâché Creations"

Explore the versatility of papier-mâché and craft your own sculpture during this 4-week session of the Tween Art Club. You'll learn how to build an armature and how to apply materials and techniques to create expressive painted sculptures made from papier-mâché. Whether you're interested in crafting a faux taxidermy animal head or something different, we'll provide plenty of ideas and support in an open studio atmosphere as you work on your project.

With a warm soulful voice and guitar picking style that seamlessly blends country, folk, and blues, his life’s journey has given him the stories behind his songs — the love, broken hearts, successes, failures, regrets, lessons, and epiphanies. Paint your pet! Send 2 photos of your pet (portrait preferred), and we will make a traceable transfer for you. During class, you will transfer your pet’s image to a prepared canvas, then, with a live demonstration and lots of instructions by Kathryn Burke, you will paint your pet with acrylics on a prepared 16x20 canvas. Realistic, abstract, crazy colors, honor a pet who crossed the rainbow bridge. Anything goes! Lots of fun! All materials provided. Plus animal crackers and an adult beverage or soft drink.

He’s a multi-dimensional talent who combines a gift for melody and lyric alongside a rich, Gospel-drenched, Southern-inflected voice with a true blue knack for getting around on the guitar. His new studio album, I Hope I Know, produced by Jano Rix of The Wood Brothers, and a string of singles, including “We Got This,” “Spirits Moving” and a cover of Bobby Charles classic “I Must Be In A Good Place Now” further build upon this reputation.
